Hello Fellow Windsorites:

It will soon be time for our 2012 Midwest Reunion and I have taken over organizing duties from our longtime, faithful, and ever-pleasant host, Shirley Zager. I'll try to be pleasant as well, but it does not come as naturally to me as it does to Shirley.

This year we are going to do something a bit different in order to limit the "negotiating time" at the end of the dinner. We'll have a prix fixe dinner, costing $40.00, with payment made by check prior to the event. I should receive your check, made out to me, no later than February 18, please.

We will be meeting in a "dry" neighborhood so that we must bring our own wine and beer (no corkage fee). Mixed drinks will not be available (unless you want to bring your own pre-mixed drinks).

Tre Kronor (Three Crowns) is a Swedish restaurant that I have been to several times and I have always been pleased with their food. The prix fixe menu will offer a house salad and three choices each of an entree and dessert. I suggest going to the site, www.trekronorrestaurant.com, to look at the dinner menu. If you have any requests, please ask me.

The restaurant is located on the northeast corner of Foster at Spaulding Ave., which is midway between main north-south thoroughfares Kedzie on the east and Kimball on the west. There is street parking only . There is a no parking zone in front of the restaurant where people can be dropped off. A call to my cell phone will bring someone out if help is needed.

Well, this was a bit involved for an invitation, for which I apologize, but we ought to have as much fun as usual with a little less "discussion" before our joyful farewells.
